I've returned to the Center Theater Group to dialect coach The School of Night, directed by noted English director Bill Alexander, opening next month at the newly remodeled Mark Taper Forum in downtown LA's Music Center. Characters in the play include William Shakespeare, Christopher Marlowe, Sir Walter Ralegh and others, so it's mostly English accents, and one Italian.
I've been coaching a regular client by phone (he's in London) on his American accent for a series called Trinity on English TV (he's a series regular).
I did a session on the Arkansas dialect with the actress playing Will Roger's wife for the Rubicon's production of Will Rogers America and coached Natalia Lazarus in a Spanish accent to portray Mother Theresa in Malcom & Theresa (also starring client Marc Appleby).
