I thought reality shows would put a large dent in my career, but I've worked on more than half a dozen of them, including VH1's I Know My Kid's a Star. My episode airs this Thursday, April 17 at 10 PM, and I may be seen teaching the contestants a Cockney accent (in much less time than was needed). Gruff-voiced Danny Bonaduce hosts, and he and his co-host pull no punches with the kids and their parents (Not suitable for kids). Update: An excerpt from the show may be seen on here; it also includes clips from Black. White. on F/X.
I spent a few days in the recording studio keeping an ear on Max, the new voice of Volkswagen. The results may be heard here and on several TV spots now airing. Max is the classic VW Beetle.
I've been working with a puppeteer from Sesame Street on learning several new accents, including Standard English, Cockney, Appalachian and surfer. He's in New York, so we teleconference via iChat. It's the next best thing to being there.
